The Deputy Chief of the Patrol Police of the Odessa Region was involved in a car accident

Last Sunday, November 17, the Deputy Chief of the Patrol Police in the Odessa Region was involved in a car crash. However, inaccurate information regarding the details of the incident is circulating in the media.

This was reported in the official Telegram channel of the Patrol Police of the Odessa Region.

The published statement indicates that on that day, an accident occurred at the intersection of Nikolai Lysenko and Alexei Vadatursky streets, involving vehicles from Mitsubishi and Suzuki with injuries reported.

The driver of the Mitsubishi was traveling along Alexei Vadatursky Street towards Itzhak Rabin Street and failed to yield to the Suzuki vehicle. This failure to yield resulted in a collision.

The Patrol Police confirmed that a passenger in the Suzuki was indeed the Deputy Chief of the Department, who sustained injuries. Moreover, his wife, who was driving the vehicle, also sustained injuries.

"It is important to note that the driver of the Mitsubishi was under the influence of alcohol. According to medical assessments, the driver of the Suzuki was sober. The circumstances and details of this accident are also corroborated by eyewitnesses who were present at the scene", - the statement reads.

The Patrol Police added in their Telegram channel that the accident was being investigated by an investigative operational group. The investigation is ongoing. Additionally, the police urged the public not to spread false information.

"Therefore, refrain from sharing misleading information and rely on verified official sources", - concluded the Patrol Police.
