For many attendees, the opening of the Alley was a deeply personal event. Ksenia Shiyan, the wife of a fallen soldier, emphasized that this space serves not only as a memorial but also as a source of support:
"For the military, it is a memory of their brothers-in-arms, and they realize they are not alone, that they are always remembered and honored."
This day was particularly meaningful for Valentina, the mother of a deceased serviceman.
"My son died; today marks exactly 5 months... But during this time, I have come to understand that I did not give birth to him in vain.", the woman shared.
The organizers noted that the Alley of Heroes has become not only a symbol of gratitude but also a vital part of societal unity. It is a space where relatives and loved ones can gather to honor the memory of those who gave their lives for Ukraine.
As a reminder, on February 20, Ukraine celebrates the Day of Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred. Volodymyr and Olena Zelensky honored those who fought for Ukraine's freedom.
Additionally, in Ukraine, special payments are issued to beneficiaries of the Revolution of Dignity and their families.
