Student Protest at KNUKiI

On February 3, KNUKiI instructor Oleksandr Balaban was dismissed. This followed a scandal regarding alleged inappropriate behavior by the academic. A former student claimed that Balaban conducted "anti-cellulite massages in private classrooms" and made vulgar remarks towards female students.

Today, KNUKiI students gathered for a protest demanding the reinstatement of Oleksandr Balaban. One student stated that the allegations against the instructor are false. The girl claimed she attended his classes and everything was fine. Maria also mentioned that students are seeking a conversation with Poplavsky.

"The university is unresponsive. You see, we are here protesting, and they are completely ignoring us. People are already freezing, yet no one is coming out," the girl shared.

We remind you that the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts has dismissed director and instructor Oleksandr Balaban. The administration stated that it cannot ignore the allegations and wishes to verify their accuracy.

The daughter of the famous Ukrainian actress Olga Sumskaya, Anna Borysyuk, claimed that during her studies at the Karpenko-Kary University, she faced psychological pressure from a professor.
