FreeAzov Campaign in Odesa

In their hands are posters bearing names and calls to the authorities and society to remember those who have become shields for Ukraine. Each person present today on Deribasivska has their own story of pain, hope, and an ongoing struggle.

I haven't seen my father for five months...

Among the participants is a young woman tightly gripping a poster with a photograph of her father. She shares that she came here not only for herself and her loved one but also for everyone who has lost contact with their families, feeling the inner turmoil of separation.

"I came out to support all those who find themselves in a situation like mine and to remind people that the war is still ongoing. My dad went missing five months ago in Kleschiivka, and I still don't know what happened to him. I hope to find out the truth", says Lyudmyla.

I have been searching for my son for over a year...

A woman stands nearby, who is not only searching for her son but has also decided to carry on his mission. She is a service member fulfilling her duty to the country while remaining a mother at heart. She waits.

"We have been searching for my son Nikita for a year and two months. I decided to continue his mission and joined the Ukrainian Navy. Last summer, I tried my hand in the 3rd Assault Brigade, but due to my age, I couldn't stay. Now, I serve on a military ship. I believe our children will be found, that our defenders will return. That's why I am here", shares Oksana, the mother of a defender.

"Wait and believe" — these words have become the slogan of the campaign. They echoed from the lips of every mother, wife, and child who continue the fight for their loved ones.

Let us remind you that a large-scale event in support of Ukrainian prisoners of war took place near the Opera House in Kyiv recently. People once again gathered for the Free Azov campaign. We also reported that a similar event occurred on February 1 in Lviv. Hundreds of people gathered in the city center to remind everyone about the warriors still held in Russia.
