Бывшему военному Владиславу Сорду предъявили обвинение в мошенничестве.
Владиславу Сорду объявили подозрение в мошенничестве

This was reported by the Office of the Attorney General and the National Police.

The law enforcement agencies are not disclosing the name of the suspect, but the case materials indicate that it concerns Vladislav Graneckiy-Stafiychuk (Sord).

According to the investigation, the former serviceman was organizing fundraising for the supply of weapons and drones for one of the military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. However, he later used a portion of the collected funds at his discretion.

In July 2022, the man posted on his page that he had the opportunity to purchase five foreign-made mortars with a total cost of about 3.5 million hryvnias. He justified the urgency and importance of the fundraising by stating that they would assist the military in battles near Izyum.

As law enforcement discovered, he kept at least 350 thousand hryvnias for himself.

Searches were conducted at the suspect's residence. He has been served with a petition for preventive measures — detention.

He has been charged under part 3 of Article 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — fraud committed on a large scale. This article provides for a fine or imprisonment for a term of three to five years.

Who is Sord?

Vladislav Graneckiy-Stafiychuk (alias Sord, call sign Zmey) is a former military man.

With the onset of the Revolution of Dignity, Vladislav joined the "Right Sector," residing on the fifth floor of the Trade Union House. Until 2015, he fought in volunteer battalions in Donbass, and from 2015, he signed a contract with the 93rd separate mechanized brigade "Kholodny Yar." Sord served in combat zones for 4.5 years. According to him, during his service, he sustained two regular concussions and one spinal cord injury (near Ilovaisk).

After the protest outside the President's Office on March 20, 2021, the police detained Vladislav Sord under the hooliganism statute. At that time, the Ministry of Internal Affairs stated that the police had apprehended a person who was “breaking windows in the doors of the President's Office”.

Following Sord's detention due to the protest outside the President's Office, the commander of the "Kryvbass" battalion, Nikolai Kolesnik, noted that Vladislav had not been awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi III degree, which he had claimed. This information was officially confirmed by the Office of the President in response to a request from Vladlen Neklyudov — a deputy and head of the parliamentary subcommittee on law enforcement issues.

The Vinnytsia City Court ruled that Sord illegally possessed the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi III degree, as he had not been officially awarded it. For this, he was required to pay a fine of 1275 hryvnias and 454 hryvnias in court fees, and the order was to be confiscated.
