The preliminary results indicate a victory for Milanović, based on the counting of votes from 98.65% of polling stations.

According to the results from the state electoral commission, Milanović from the opposition Social Democratic Party led on January 12, securing 74.58% of the votes.

In contrast, Dragan Primorac from the ruling Croatian Democratic Union received 25.42%.

The voter turnout was 44.15%.

"Croatia, thank you. For me personally, this is a significant day, and I view this victory as a recognition of my efforts, a kind of act of trust from the people towards me," Milanović noted.

He told reporters that over the past five years, he has performed his duties sincerely, and he hopes that people have noticed this.

It is worth noting that in Germany, early parliamentary elections are scheduled for February 23. The Social Democratic Party and far-right political forces have already nominated their candidates.

Additionally, Belarus has decided not to invite the OSCE mission to observe the presidential elections planned for January 26.
