Tusk emphasized that he will not allow the Volhynia tragedy to be drawn into political games. He added that the countries are currently finding common ground on this matter and are working towards a resolution. Tusk noted that these historical events are significant for Poland and require empathy from Ukraine, and vice versa.

"There is an obvious problem and a need that must be addressed so that Polish families can properly bury their loved ones who were victims of the Volhynia tragedy," Tusk stated.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also mentioned that work is ongoing, and materials are being processed. According to him, Russia poses the main threat to both Ukraine and Poland, and they need to unite against it.

"We must do everything to strengthen our alliance," Zelensky said.

At the same time, Donald Tusk pointed out that Ukraine's accession to the European Union is also a matter of security for Poland. Those who do not understand this were labeled by the Polish Prime Minister as traitors or fools.
