On the eve of this incident, the occupiers intensified their shelling of Kherson, launching a combined attack using artillery and multiple rocket launch systems on the city and surrounding areas.

According to the Regional Military Administration, approximately 1000 shells fell on Kherson alone within 40 minutes, with impacts reported across all districts of the city. As a result of the assault, two men lost their lives, and another 11 individuals were injured.
