Member of the Verkhovna Rada Igor Kopytin has published a post on his Facebook page for the first time since the terrible car accident.
The Mykolaiv MP announced that he is recovering and expressed gratitude to all the doctors and medical staff who saved his life. He also thanked the users who sent him words of support.
“Three months ago, my medical history included records of vaccinations and scheduled visits to doctors. Now, it consists of dozens of pages filled with medical terms and names of medications I had never heard of (and, hopefully, will never hear again). You can never be prepared for something like this. But through all of this, the most important thing is that I am alive. For this, I want to thank all the doctors and medical staff who have made it possible for me to write this text. Just a month ago, things were not looking so positive.
Yes, I am not running yet, I have a cast on my arm, and the scars from surgeries will stay with me for life, but I am alive.
I am grateful to all of you, Friends, for your words of support. I recently managed to read everything. I find it difficult to respond to everyone, but know that I read every word. Thank you!” Kopytin wrote.
According to police reports, preliminarily, the 33-year-old driver of the Toyota lost control. The police have opened a case regarding violations of traffic safety rules.
