In Turkey, due to heavy fog and icy conditions, a significant chain collision involving 30 vehicles occurred on the Van-Erciş highway. As a result of the accident, one person lost their life, and over 50 others sustained injuries.

According to preliminary data, the accident involving around 30 vehicles resulted in one fatality and 51 injuries.
"To our great sorrow, one of our citizens has died in the accident. A total of 51 people were injured, four of whom are in serious condition. The injured have been taken to hospitals. The road will reopen after the vehicles are cleared," said the governor of Van, Ozan Balcı.
