On the night of Monday, December 30, during the curfew in Mykolaiv, a BMW 750 driver, while attempting to evade the patrol, failed to notice the Arkasivske (Pushkinske) roundabout and drove directly over its grassy area.
This was reported by a correspondent from Novosti-N.
According to the patrol police press service, during the curfew, the patrol noticed a BMW traveling along Central Avenue from Soborna Street towards the Central Market. They followed the vehicle intending to pull it over for a check. However, the BMW driver did not stop, instead accelerating to evade the patrol. In the process, he did not realize he had entered a roundabout intersection. The driver went straight through the grassy area of the roundabout and only stopped after the intersection near the "Ideya" store.
The patrol noted that the driver exhibited signs of drug intoxication and requested he undergo testing, but the man refused. Consequently, the patrol drafted a report on the driver's refusal to take the test.
As a result of the incident, no one was injured, but the vehicle sustained mechanical damage.
