Ukrainians attempted to drive abroad when their vehicle veered off the road during a chase and crashed into a ditch.

Five men in a car attempted to leave Ukraine for Moldova. During the chase, the driver lost control, resulting in an accident.

This was reported by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

Officers from the operational investigation unit of the Chernivtsi border detachment received information about a group of men preparing to illegally cross the state border.

At a designated time, a resident of a border area, accompanied by four passengers, set off in his own vehicle towards neighboring Moldova. During their apprehension, the offenders tried to escape, but the driver lost control during the pursuit, and the car crashed into a ditch.

Upon further investigation, the border guards discovered that residents from Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, Chernivtsi regions, and the city of Kyiv had paid 8,000 US dollars each for transportation to Moldova, bypassing the checkpoints.

Protocols for administrative offenses have been drawn up against the violators.

Regarding the man who attempted to carry out the illegal transportation of citizens across the border, a report has been sent to law enforcement under Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Information has been entered into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations (ERDR). He has been detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
