The driver who caused a triple accident near Lviv on December 15, resulting in the deaths of seven people, initially fled the scene. However, he has since been apprehended.
This information was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the Telegram channel of the First Deputy Head of the Patrol Police Department, Alexey Biloshitsky.
"The driver of the passenger car fled the scene, leaving his vehicle and the victims behind. Preliminary reports suggest that he was under the influence of alcohol when he crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with a truck," he explained.
According to Biloshitsky, the truck then became uncontrollable and crashed into a minibus.
"As a result, there were 7 fatalities, and three individuals were hospitalized. The BMW driver has already been detained. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing," the police officer noted.
