On Thursday, December 19, a passenger van, a Mercedes Sprinter, collided with a GAZ truck on the Kyiv-Chop highway in the Zhytomyr region. The accident resulted in six individuals being injured, including a resident of Mykolaiv.
This information was reported by the communication department of the Zhytomyr police.
The traffic incident occurred around 7:30 AM on the Kyiv-Chop highway, near the city of Korostyshiv.
At the scene, investigative and operational groups from the regional police and the Zhytomyr district police department were working.
As a result of the accident, five passengers of the van were injured, including: a 16-year-old resident of Rivne region, a 71-year-old woman from Cherkasy, a 58-year-old man from Kharkiv, a 39-year-old woman from Mykolaiv, and a 53-year-old woman from Kyiv.
The 37-year-old driver of the Mercedes Sprinter also sustained injuries. All the injured were hospitalized at the Korostyshiv hospital.
