In Vinnytsia, a Mercedes driver hit two girls. Photos and details of the accident are available (updated).

On Thursday, January 16, a traffic accident occurred in Vinnytsia due to the fault of a Mercedes driver. As a result, two young women were hospitalized.

This was reported by the Main Directorate of the National Police of Ukraine in the Vinnytsia region. The accident took place around 16:20 on Teatralna Street, where a 22-year-old Mercedes driver hit two girls crossing the road at an unregulated pedestrian crossing.

A video was shared on Facebook by the Situational Center of the city of Vinnytsia.

Both girls, aged 19, were taken to the hospital with injuries.

UPD: the police informed that the perpetrator of the accident has been detained. He faces up to 8 years in prison. Until a preventive measure is chosen, the driver will remain in a temporary detention facility.

Meanwhile, a Vinnytsia resident, Vitaliy Duzhak, published details about the vehicle on Facebook. It is a white 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE 53 AMG with the registration number NE0001II. The car runs on gasoline or electricity. The vehicle is valued at $98,000, which translates to 4,179,700 hryvnias.

The cost of obtaining the license plates amounted to 115,200 hryvnias. The car was registered in the Kazankivka district of Mykolaiv region under a legal entity.

Duzhak also reported that the accident's perpetrator is likely a relative of entrepreneur Armen Avetisyan, one of the beneficiaries of the company LLC "PLAY LTD." This vehicle is registered under this company.

Avetisyan is the founder of 8 legal entities, including the Tulchyn asphalt concrete plant registered in the city of Tulchyn, Vinnytsia region.
