Powerful explosions shook Kyiv as the capital was targeted by "Dagger" missiles and ballistic weapons. (Updated)

During a massive air raid alert in Kyiv, several powerful explosions were heard. This information has been confirmed by correspondents from "Telegraph." Earlier, monitoring channels warned about multiple fast-moving targets heading towards the Kyiv region.

The correspondent from "Telegraph" reports that smoke is rising in one of the districts of Kyiv. The Mayor of the capital, Vitali Klitschko, stated that debris fell on the roof of a house in the Dniprovskyi district. "There is a fire in the Solomianskyi district. Teams are being dispatched to the scene." At least two people have been injured. Unfortunately, there have been casualties. "Preliminarily, one person has died in the Holosiivskyi district," — wrote Serhiy Popko, head of the Kyiv City Military Administration.

Later, the mayor added that there are also consequences of the attack in other areas of Kyiv. In the Holosiivskyi district, for instance, a heat pipeline has been damaged. He also refuted the information about the deceased person. As of 8:47, there are reports of 7 injured individuals.

Additionally, rocket debris fell on a vehicle in one of the districts. "In the Holosiivskyi district, as a result of the rocket debris falling, cars are on fire. Emergency services are heading to the scene," — the message states. "Medical teams have been called to the Holosiivskyi district. A crew is en route," — the mayor added later.

At 07:30, the "Mykolaiv Vanyok" channel wrote that there were no new rocket launches at that time. "It seems there was regular ballistics and aeroballistics. Part targeted Kyiv, and part was headed towards Vasylkiv."

Meanwhile, photos of burning vehicles after the rocket debris hit are being shared online. A fire has also been reported in an office building – the roof is ablaze.

At 07:20, the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that a ballistic missile was flying from the north towards Kyiv. A few minutes later, loud explosions were heard.

At 07:13, several powerful explosions were heard again in Kyiv.

The Kyiv Regional Administration reported that air defense systems are also active in the region. Moreover, sounds of explosions have been reported in the Cherkasy region.

Earlier, "Telegraph" also reported on a rocket attack by Russians on Kryvyi Rih. As a result of the strike, a two-story residential building was partially destroyed. Fortunately, there were no casualties.
