A warm winter in Ukraine will not last long, and significant cooling is expected this weekend according to forecasts. The thermometer will drop from +10 degrees to below zero.
This information is confirmed by data from the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center. It is noted that the cooling will be gradual, and the temperature will vary significantly across regions.
Starting from Sunday, December 22, Ukrainians should prepare for colder temperatures and rain. The western and northern regions will not be affected by precipitation, however, temperatures around -1, and at times even -6 degrees, will persist for almost a full day. The eastern and northern areas will experience a notable warmth for late December along with heavy rain.
On Monday, December 23, in the west of the country, the thermometer will fluctuate between -1 and +1 degrees throughout the day, with occasional snowfall. The northern regions are also expected to see temperatures around -1 degrees during the day, while the central regions will experience frost. Nighttime temperatures are forecasted to hit -5 degrees, with daytime highs of +1 degree. The eastern and southern regions will not be severely impacted by frost, but the cooling will be noticeable.
On Tuesday, December 24, the western regions will mainly face frosts down to -4 degrees at night and -2 degrees during the day. Snow is anticipated here according to meteorologists. In other parts of Ukraine, temperatures will range from +2 to +6 degrees, with possible rain.
