On Wednesday, January 8, police officers seized a number of documents from the Lviv City Council. The agency is currently operating as usual.
The seized documents pertain to one of the waste transporters. This was reported by the press service of the Lviv City Hall.
"According to the Department of Housing and Infrastructure of the Lviv City Council, on January 8, National Police officers seized some documents related to one of the solid waste transporters in Lviv," the publication states.
The message also notes that City Council employees provided law enforcement with all necessary documents and are fully cooperating with the investigation.
"The department is currently functioning normally," the press service wrote.
It is worth mentioning that earlier there were reports of a search in the office of the department director, Orest Tymchyshyn.
"On the third floor of the Town Hall in Rynok Square, law enforcement is conducting searches. Eyewitnesses say that this is happening in the office of the director of the Department of Housing and Infrastructure of the Lviv City Council, Orest Tymchyshyn. The reason is possible abuses in the area of solid waste removal," reported the advisor to the head of the Lviv OVA, Oleg Radik, on Facebook.
Recall that in September, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) conducted searches in the office of the well-known Odessa politician Vadym Morokhovskyi. The searches are linked to a case involving the chairman of the Odessa Regional Council.
