Nikolai Azarov is a former prime minister from Yanukovych's era, who is remembered by Ukrainians for inventing a unique language known as "azarovka." The politician fled Ukraine following the fall of Yanukovych's regime and settled in Russia. However, a luxurious mansion remains in Kyiv, where the former prime minister once lived. It is located in the heart of Kyiv and could be worth millions of dollars.
"Telegraph" will reveal what is known about Nikolai Azarov's elite property and what it looks like.
In Kyiv, former prime minister Nikolai Azarov resided in a lavish mansion on Zverinetska Street in the city center, specifically in the Pechersk district near the botanical garden and Arsenalna metro station.
According to the declaration Azarov submitted in 2013, the residential building, which spans 594 sq.m., and a plot of 0.1 ha on Zverinetska Street, No. 1, belonged to him. It is also known that in 2014, Azarov attempted to sell this mansion through a representative.
The reason behind this is that in 2014, journalists from "Nashi Hroshi" obtained a power of attorney that Nikolai Azarov had issued through a Moscow notary. This document authorized one Gleb Leshkov to represent his interests in the sale of the mansion.
0It is unclear whether this property of Azarov was sold, however, according to data from 2022 based on the cadastral number of the plot, it currently belongs to a private individual. Who this individual is—whether a new owner or Azarov himself—remains unknown.
1In 2015, judging by images on Google Maps, no one was living in the house at Zverinetska Street, No. 1 in Kyiv. Meanwhile, according to a real estate sales website, prices for mansions on this street in the city center start from $1 million, depending on size. Considering that Azarov's house is nearly 600 square meters, it could be worth several million dollars.
2Previously, "Telegraph" reported on the appearance of the street and the house, where the first president Kravchuk was born. The house has already fallen into disrepair, but there were efforts to save it.
