On Thursday, October 24, the railway connection between Mykolaiv and Kherson was damaged. The tracks were affected due to enemy shelling.
This was reported by the Kherson Regional State Administration. "Ukrzaliznytsia" explained how trains will operate.
"Trains to Kherson will stop in Mykolaiv. Passengers will be transported to Kherson by buses. All 78 of our passengers heading to Kherson will be delivered to their destination with the utmost comfort," the statement said.
They added that railway repair teams have already been dispatched for restoration work. They plan to resume rail service for the return trip.
Earlier, "Telegraph" reported that on Monday, October 21, the government appointed Oleksandr Pertsovsky as the Chairman of the Board of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" (UZ) for a term of three years. Additionally, three members of the state company's board were dismissed from their positions.
