Ukraine has been hit by heavy snowfall and freezing temperatures following an unusually warm January. However, the cold won't last forever — as we approach the start of the calendar spring, Ukrainians can expect a warming trend.

This is reported by the meteorological portal Ventusky. According to meteorologists, on Thursday, February 27, temperatures will be mild across almost all of Ukraine, ranging from +4 to +8 degrees Celsius. The coldest conditions will be in the north and northeast of Ukraine, where the thermometer will fluctuate between zero and +1 degree.

The warmest weather will be in southern Ukraine, particularly in Crimea, where temperatures will rise from +10 to +15 degrees Celsius.

On Friday, February 28, the weather in Ukraine will remain warm. In the west, daytime temperatures will reach +5 degrees and higher, while the east will experience colder conditions. In Kharkiv, Luhansk, and Donetsk regions, the temperature will range from zero to +1 degree.

In Crimea, temperatures will vary between +9 and +13 degrees Celsius. The Zaporizhia region will also enjoy warmth, with thermometers showing +12 to +13 degrees.

During the nights of February 27 and 28, it will be chilly in Ukraine, though not as cold as previously experienced.

As a reminder, on February 17, the most significant drop in temperature was felt by residents of the western regions. In Rivne, the temperature at 7 AM was recorded at -17 degrees Celsius, while in the northern part of Rivne region, it plummeted to -27 degrees.
