In six months, 22,000 people were evacuated from dangerous areas in the Kharkiv region.

This was reported by the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleg Synegubov.

Due to active hostilities, heating is unavailable in eight communities, prompting evacuations. This concerns the Volchansk direction in the Chuhuiv district, Lyptsy, Kharkiv district, and the Kupiansk direction.

According to Synegubov, evacuated individuals are receiving financial, humanitarian, and psychological assistance in Kharkiv.

Special support centers are operational to assist these individuals. In Kupiansk, over 4,500 people have visited such a center in just a few weeks. The Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, in coordination with partners, has also launched the Volchansk, Lypetsky, and Kurilovsky hubs, which have already registered more than 20,000 visitors.

Evacuation from Kharkiv Region

On October 15, the authorities of the Kharkiv region announced a mandatory evacuation of the entire civilian population from Kupiansk and nearby settlements due to a deteriorating security situation. Subsequently, the area of mandatory evacuation was expanded to include an additional 10 settlements.

The State Emergency Service reported on the evacuation of residents from frontline settlements in the Kharkiv region. To protect people from Russian shelling, rescuers are using armored vehicles.

Situation in the Region

On the evening of November 23, Russian forces attacked the villages of Udy and Odnorobivka in the Bohodukhiv district with guided bombs.

In a single day, there were 13 combat engagements on the Kharkiv front with Russian troops. Ukrainian defenders repelled eleven attacks in the areas of Volchansk and Tyhyi, while two more are ongoing as of the morning of November 24.

In the Kupiansk direction, Russian forces attempted to displace Ukrainian units from their positions near Hlushkovka, Synkivka, Zahryzovyi, Novoplatonivka, Kondrashivka, Pyschany and Zelenaya Rosha a total of 12 times.
