The 1097th day of the war with Russia continues. Over the past day, on February 23, Russian forces may have achieved territorial gains on the front. In total, there were 81 combat clashes during the last 24 hours.

This is reported by analysts from DeepState. The enemy advanced in three populated areas.

"The enemy has made progress in Belohorivka, near Makiivka, and Ocheretovatoye," the report states.

What the General Staff Says

According to the General Staff, there were 81 combat clashes at the front over the past day. The situation is most severe in the Pokrovsk direction.

In the Kramatorsk direction, two clashes have been recorded near Chasiv Yar and towards Oleksandro-Shultino, with one attack repelled by Ukrainian forces. The area of Rai-Aleksandrovka was subjected to aerial strikes.

In the Toretsk direction, Russian forces attacked the positions of the Defense Forces eight times. The main thrust of the offensive has been concentrated near the settlements of Toretsk and Krymske, with four attacks still ongoing.

Since the beginning of this day, in the Pokrovsk direction, Russian troops have attempted to breach our defenses 22 times near the settlements of Luch, Kotlyne, Andriivka, Bohdanivka, Ulakly, Novosergiyivka, Molodetske, Leontovychy, Pokrovsk, Myroliubivka, and Vodyane Vtoroye, with two clashes still in progress. Aerial strikes targeted Komar, Alekseevka, Zverevo, Lisovka, and Myrnohrad.

"The Defense Forces are holding off enemy assaults, and the adversary is suffering significant losses — 340 occupiers were neutralized in this direction, 190 of whom are irretrievable. Additionally, 13 units of vehicles, a UAV antenna, a mortar, a cannon, and two buggies were destroyed, and one armored combat vehicle, four vehicles, and three enemy cannons were significantly damaged," the report indicates.

The Ukrainian Defense Forces continue operations in the Kursk direction, where the enemy conducted 19 assaults on the positions of Ukrainian units over the past day, with two clashes still ongoing. The adversary launched 14 aerial strikes, dropping 23 guided bombs, and carried out 346 artillery shellings.

Earlier, "Telegraph" reported that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky discussed whether Ukraine is ready to exchange the Kursk region. He emphasized that this region should not be included in our territories.
