In Sumy, eight people have already died due to Russian shelling by "Shahed" drones.

This was reported by the Office of the Attorney General.

They shared that rescuers recovered the bodies of a 74-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman—the mother of an injured 8-year-old girl.

As a result of the attack, 12 people sustained injuries.

On the night of January 30, Russian forces attacked with Shahed strike drones in Sumy. One of the drones struck a residential apartment building.

Preliminary reports indicate that 9 apartments and 12 balconies were destroyed in the attack. The building that was hit has had its electricity, water, and heating supply cut off. Additionally, there is no gas in one of the stairwells. The attack resulted in the deaths of two couples: a 74-year-old man and his 69-year-old wife, as well as a 65-year-old man and a 64-year-old woman.
