Explosions were heard in Izhevsk, Russia, as drones targeted a facility that manufactures drones and missile systems.

The head of the Udmurt Republic, Alexander Brechalov, reported explosions in Izhevsk.

According to him, the explosion occurred in a factory workshop due to a drone crash. The building sustained damage to its glazing, and one person was injured. Brechalov also noted that the local airport is operating normally.

A number of Russian Telegram channels reported that drones targeted the "Kupil" factory located in the city.

The Izhevsk Electromechanical Plant "Kupil" is one of the largest enterprises in the Russian military-industrial complex. It produces, among other things, Tor anti-aircraft missile systems, radar systems, as well as equipment for nuclear power plants and oil enterprises.

Since the onset of the full-scale invasion, they have begun producing "Garpia" drones, which are equipped with Chinese engines and externally resemble the strike drones Shahed.

According to a statement from the Russian Ministry of Defense, air defense allegedly shot down two drones over the Belgorod region. Ukraine is accused of the attack, but official Kyiv has yet to comment on this incident.
