Additionally, 17 individuals were injured in the attack, including 4 children. Psychologists from the State Emergency Service and the National Police assisted 194 people, among them 11 children.

Rescue operations are still ongoing.

On the morning of February 1, Russian military forces attacked Ukraine with missiles. The cities of Poltava, Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, Sumy, Kharkiv, Khmelnytskyi, and Kyiv regions were targeted. As a result, energy providers implemented emergency power outages in several areas.

A woman was killed in Kharkiv, and five others were injured. In the Sumy region, two individuals lost their lives.

In Poltava, the occupiers dismantled the entrance of a five-story building, leading to a fire. Nearby houses and vehicles were also damaged. Preliminary reports indicate that Russian forces struck the city with an X-22 missile.

Law enforcement has initiated a pre-trial investigation into the commission of a war crime resulting in loss of life (part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
