This was reported by the police in Poltava region, and it is also covered by the local publication "Poltavshchyna."
Journalists spoke with a girl named Elena, who visited a restaurant with her boyfriend on November 2.
A group of men was seated nearby, and one of them approached Elena, suggesting they leave together. According to her, she declined because she has a boyfriend, but the man replied that he "wasn't interested" in that.
Profanity can be heard in the video!
The girl claims that after this, her boyfriend defended her, but the men beat him up right in the restaurant. He was taken to the hospital with a broken nose, a concussion, and internal bleeding.
Elena asserts that among the men who assaulted her boyfriend was Alexander Pavlyuchenko, the owner of the "Alpha-Capital" group of companies, and Alexander Perely, the deputy head of the Kyiv district police department — he allegedly harassed her.
She also accuses the establishment's staff of allegedly refusing to call the police and an ambulance. The restaurant owner and Poltava city council member Marianna Soliman reportedly declined to provide the police with footage from the surveillance cameras, but as "Poltavshchyna" later reported, she claimed to have been threatened.
The police in Poltava region have initiated an investigation into intentional minor bodily harm (Part 1 of Article 125 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). Additionally, the State Bureau of Investigations is conducting a probe.
The police management has ordered an internal investigation, and the officer present during the altercation has been suspended from duty.
