In Kyiv, Belarusian volunteer Maria Zaitseva was laid to rest - see photos.

Farewell to the Belarusian Volunteer

Maria Zaitseva was born and raised in the Belarusian city of Gomel, and in 2020, she participated in the protests in Minsk. She spoke out against the falsification of elections. During the rallies, Maria sustained injuries and subsequently went to the Czech Republic for treatment.

After the onset of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation, she assisted Ukrainian refugees in the Czech Republic, and in the spring of 2023, she joined the Second International Legion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Maria died on January 17, 2025, in battles near Pokrovsk. She had turned 24 just a day before.

We remind you that at the front Belarusian volunteer Maria Zaitseva has died. She was part of the Second International Legion, which fights alongside Ukraine against the Russian invaders.
