To see how the sports complex currently looks, check out the photo report from Novini.LIVE.
The recovery of the complex has involved workers, students, and concerned locals. Children are particularly affected by the loss of their favorite youth space—they visit, write to the leader, and express their sadness over its absence.
Additionally, a local cat that witnessed the attack resides in this sports complex. At the time of the strike, it was hiding in the basement and is still scared.
It’s worth noting that this is not the first attack on this facility. On May 6, 2024, two guided aerial bombs destroyed the boiler rooms nearby. The workers managed to restore the complex on their own back then, and now they aim to quickly resume activities through collaborative efforts.
Recall that on February 4, there was a powerful explosion in Izium, Kharkiv region. The air forces had warned about the movement of reconnaissance drones in the area.
Not long ago, the head of the Kharkiv OVA, Oleg Synegubov, reported that as a result of the strike, four people lost their lives and another 20 were injured.
