This is reported by Reuters, citing South Korean media.
The Ukrainian delegation has already met with South Korea's National Security Advisor, Shin Won-sik. During the conversation, they "exchanged thoughts" on the war in Ukraine.
It is expected that the delegation will also meet with the country's president, Yoon Suk-yeol, to discuss providing military assistance to Ukraine.
Previously, the South China Morning Post, citing informed sources, reported that Umerov will arrive in South Korea with a "wish list", which includes, among other things, missiles for air defense and artillery systems.
Earlier, Bloomberg, referencing unnamed South Korean officials, also reported that Donald Trump's victory forced South Korea to reconsider its plans regarding military assistance to Ukraine.
Before this, officials in Seoul stated that they could consider providing "offensive" weapons to Ukraine in response to North Korea sending troops to Russia.
It is noteworthy that South Korea is among the top ten largest arms exporters in the world, yet it has not directly supplied lethal weapons to Ukraine. However, officials in Seoul stated that if Russia provides North Korea with precision weapons, South Korea will not "tie" itself in assisting Ukraine.
