Ukraine has received $100 million in aid from South Korea.

Prime Minister Denis Shmygal announced this.

According to him, this is the first budgetary assistance from Korean partners aimed at supporting the social sector. This year, Kyiv and Seoul signed an agreement that will allow for the attraction of up to $2.1 billion.

“I am grateful to the Republic of Korea for supporting Ukraine during the full-scale war,” Shmygal added.

It’s worth noting that earlier, Ukraine's Defense Minister Rustem Umerov visited Seoul, the capital of South Korea, where he held talks regarding military assistance to Kyiv.

Previously, Bloomberg, citing unnamed South Korean officials, reported that Donald Trump's victory forced South Korea to reconsider its plans for military aid to Ukraine.

Before that, officials in Seoul stated that they could consider supplying “offensive” weapons to Ukraine in response to the deployment of North Korean troops in Russia.
