Updated at 8:53. According to data from the Sumy Regional Military Administration, 84 people sustained injuries of varying severity as a result of the Russian attack. The Sumy City Council reports a total of 89 injured. Currently, 11 individuals are in intensive care, including 6 children.
Efforts to eliminate the aftermath of the shelling are still ongoing. An operational response headquarters has been established. All necessary assistance is being provided to the people.
At approximately 20:37 on November 17, Russian forces launched a missile strike on a densely populated residential area in Sumy. The strike damaged at least 10 apartment buildings and several vehicles.
It is known that among the deceased are children—a 9-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl.
