Tsymbalyuk explained why holding elections during wartime is dangerous.

This was reported by MP Mikhail Tsymbalyuk during the broadcast of RanoK.LIVE on Friday, February 21.

Why It Is Dangerous to Hold Elections During Wartime

According to the MP, military martial law must first be lifted and victory achieved in the war before any voting can occur. Conducting elections now is risky for several reasons, particularly as it's clear that individuals in temporarily occupied territories will be unable to vote. Additionally, military personnel not only have the right to vote but also to run for office.

"Imagine if all or a certain number of brigade commanders wanted to become candidates. They would go for it, and they have the right to do so. They would leave the battlefield. What then do we need to conduct according to the law? Demobilization. Just think, we have weakened the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the line of demarcation. What will Putin do? What they have been doing since 2014 during the Minsk agreements," the MP emphasized.

Recall that Elon Musk suggested to Volodymyr Zelensky to hold elections to refute Donald Trump's claims of an alleged "4% rating." However, conducting elections during wartime is impossible according to the Constitution of Ukraine.

At the same time, people's deputy from the "Servant of the People" party Anna Skorokhod stated that Ukraine and the Russian Federation will conclude a peace treaty in the near future. After that, Ukrainians can expect presidential, parliamentary, and local elections.
