Stephen Chung, the communications director for Trump's campaign, claims that his meeting with Biden will "take place soon," although no specific date has been announced yet.

According to Chung, Trump "greatly appreciates" Biden's call, during which the latter congratulated him on his election victory. The sitting president also mentioned his desire for a "smooth transition" of power and unity in the country.

A phone conversation had previously taken place between the two presidential candidates. Kamala Harris acknowledged the presidential election results, while Trump highlighted the "strength, professionalism, and determination" of his opponent.

Trump Wins the US Election

Preliminary results indicate that former president Donald Trump has won the US election, surpassing current Vice President Kamala Harris in the electoral race. He has currently secured 292 electoral votes out of the 270 needed.

Trump has already proclaimed his victory to his supporters. He has received congratulations from several world leaders, including the presidents of France and Ukraine, as well as the prime ministers of the UK, Israel, Hungary, and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.

It is anticipated that Republicans will also achieve success in the Senate elections — the upper chamber of Congress, and they have a chance to maintain control over the lower chamber — the House of Representatives.
