This is mentioned in the SBU report.
They revealed that the suspect was the commander of one of the SSO units, recruited by the Russians even before the full-scale war began. This occurred through his acquaintances in Russia, with whom he maintained contact.
However, he was "reactivated" in the spring of 2024, tasked with relaying the plans of Ukrainian military operations in the Russian rear. Specifically, regarding the reconnaissance and sabotage raids of Ukrainian special forces beyond the front line in the Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, and Crimea directions.
The detained individual utilized his official position to gather information on the planned routes of Ukrainian warriors, their armaments, and objectives.
This information was intended by the Russians for the assassination of Ukrainian special forces along the front line or in temporarily occupied territories in southern Ukraine.
The military counterintelligence of the SBU documented the crimes of the SSO lieutenant colonel and apprehended him. Simultaneously, measures were taken to secure the locations of the Defense Forces.
The detained individual has been informed of the suspicion of treason committed under martial law (according to part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). He is currently in custody, facing life imprisonment with asset confiscation.
