This is reported by Ukrainian Truth citing a court ruling that is in the possession of journalists.
From the published photograph of the document, it is known that the court made its decision on November 19. It is noted that Boholyubov must be taken into custody no later than 48 hours after his delivery to the Pechersk District Court. The preventive measure may still be replaced with a milder one. The full text of the ruling is expected to be published on November 22.
Recall that in July, Boholyubov, as well as the border guard who assisted him in illegally crossing the border, were charged. Journalists reported that the businessman left the country using the passport of a 67-year-old resident of the Volyn region.
At the same time, Boholyubov's press service claims that the businessman left the country using his Ukrainian passport, adding that he is over 60 years old and has 7 children, 5 of whom are minors. Thus, he can legally travel abroad.
His wife, diplomat Emine Dzhaparova, resigned, stating that she "must protect her family".
He was born in the Dnipropetrovsk region. In the 1990s, together with Igor Kolomoisky, they became co-founders of the largest bank in Ukraine — "PrivatBank". As of 2021, Boholyubov ranked 5th in Forbes' list of the richest people, with his fortune estimated at $1.7 billion.
Igor Kolomoisky and his business partner Gennady Boholyubov owned directly or indirectly over 91.5% of the shares of "PrivatBank". The remainder belonged to minority shareholders, particularly management led by chairman Alexander Dubilet.
After the nationalization of "PrivatBank", Boholyubov and Kolomoisky became the subjects of numerous legal investigations related to the withdrawal of funds from the bank and other financial machinations.
