Near Australia, a man drifted at sea for nearly 20 hours after falling from a cargo vessel.

This is reported by CNN.

The man was last seen aboard the bulk carrier "Double Delight," flying the Singapore flag, on November 14 around 11:30 PM. The circumstances of how he fell from the ship remain unknown.

The sailor was discovered on November 15 around 6:20 PM near Blacks Beach, south of Newcastle. Local rescue services reported that he was rescued by a local fisherman. When found, the sailor was conscious, able to communicate, and suffered from hypothermia.

According to New South Wales paramedic Erin Lafton, the man was in the water approximately 3.5 km from shore, waving his arms and struggling in the water. To assist in his rescue, units from the water police and marine rescue services were deployed, along with two vessels and two helicopters.
