Pletenchuk spoke about the struggle for the Black Sea and Crimea.

This was discussed by the spokesperson of the Ukrainian Navy, Dmitry Pletenchuk, during a broadcast on the "We are Ukraine" channel.

The Lost Crimea

According to Pletenchuk, Crimea, lost in 2014, remains a significant symbol and strategic asset for Ukrainian naval forces. However, the current situation in the Black Sea demonstrates that Ukraine is not giving up and is actively engaging in combat against the enemy fleet.

"For many Ukrainian sailors, the loss of Crimea primarily means the loss of their home. Among the military personnel of the Navy, there are many representatives of the indigenous people of Crimea, so motivation plays a crucial role," noted Dmitry Pletenchuk.

He stated that Ukraine must remain a maritime power, not just a country by the sea. Therefore, the Ukrainian Navy continues to strike enemy positions using modern warfare methods.

"We fully understand the responsibility placed upon us by the Ukrainian people. The future depends on us, and this is not just words. Every service member, from the sailor who defends against drone attacks in the Black Sea every evening to the captains involved in strategic planning, is doing their job to achieve a common goal," emphasized Pletenchuk.

Thanks to the coordinated efforts of the Ukrainian Navy, the Russian Black Sea Fleet is gradually losing its positions and ability to control the situation at sea.

It is worth noting that the enemy currently lacks the capability for a seaborne landing on the Odessa coast. Moreover, the occupiers no longer base their fleet in Crimea.
