A petition requesting a review of the "Thousand of Zelensky" distribution program has gained significant support.

This was reported on the petition website.

The author, Roman Stan, pointed out that the proposed program has a number of shortcomings: it is not entirely clear where the funding will come from, and the effectiveness of such a program is quite questionable.

He indicated that the program lacks specificity, as winter support is only necessary for a specific group of citizens, namely: pensioners, low-income families, large families, and forcibly displaced persons.

The petition author also noted that for households with an average income, this financial assistance would not be as significant, and the differences that arise from clearer targeting would allow for increased payments specifically for those who truly need them.

It was also emphasized that due to the shortcomings of certain executive authorities, there has been an excess of funds that cannot be redirected to military financing but can be allocated to various government programs that have run out of funding, such as “єОселя”.

One Thousand Hryvnias from Zelensky

In October, President Volodymyr Zelensky instructed the government to implement a new support program starting December 1. Each citizen in Ukraine is set to receive one thousand hryvnias.

The funds will be available regardless of age or social status, and they must be spent during the winter. The money can be used to pay for utilities, medications, transportation, mobile services, the purchase of Ukrainian books, and other services, as well as to donate to support the army.

The money will be credited to a “National Cashback” card, which can be opened in “Dія.” Applications for participation in the program can be submitted from December to February.
