Occupiers have launched an attack on the Kharkiv region—what destruction has been caused?

This was reported by the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleg Synegubov on Telegram on Saturday, February 22.

Shelling in Kharkiv Region on February 22

On February 22, around 04:15, a private residential house was destroyed in Kharkiv district due to an airstrike. There were no casualties.

Also on February 22, at 04:22, a CAB hit the ground in Bohodukhiv district. There were no damages or casualties.

Shelling in Kharkiv Region on February 21

On February 21, at 08:00, Russians attacked a car in Kupiansk district using a drone. Three police officers were injured and hospitalized. In the same area, around 08:07, a "Molniya-2" drone strike caused a car to catch fire.

In Izium district at 09:30, a CAB damaged private homes. Agricultural buildings were also destroyed. Additionally, one of the bombs hit the ground, damaging a garage building, a high-voltage power line, and causing partial power outages.

Slightly later, two more CABs fell in open territory in Izium and Bohodukhiv districts. There were no casualties.

At 11:00, debris from a "Molniya-2" drone fell in Izium district. There were no injuries or damages.

In Bohodukhiv district at 11:05, a bomb hit the road. Cars were on fire, and two residential buildings, an employment center, a two-story apartment building, and a shop were damaged. Five people were injured.

At 12:20, an FPV drone damaged a private house in Kupiansk district. There was also an FPV drone strike in Kharkiv district, fortunately without casualties. There, debris from a "Geran-2" drone was found. In Izium district, debris from a missile was discovered at a waste disposal site. The type is currently being determined.

In Lozova district, a "Geran-2" drone hit a civilian enterprise. The roof of a warehouse building was damaged.

Frontline Situation

In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy attempted to breach the defensive lines of Ukrainian defenders twice. This occurred near Volchansk.

In the Kupiansk direction, five attacks also took place. Our defenders repelled the enemy's assault near Zahryzovo.

Consequences of Shelling Being Documented

As noted by the prosecutor's office, the Lozova District Prosecutor's Office of Kharkiv region has initiated a pre-trial investigation into the commission of a war crime. Law enforcement is documenting the aftermath of Russian strikes and gathering necessary evidence.

As a reminder, the occupiers also shelled the Dnipropetrovsk region on the night of February 22. The region was attacked by combat drones.

In the past 24 hours on February 21, Russians attacked the Zaporizhzhia region more than 500 times. As a result of the shelling, there are injured and damages.
