Some embassies will be closed on November 20 due to the threat of a large-scale Russian attack (UPDATED).

This is mentioned on the embassy's website.

In the meantime, its employees will receive instructions regarding potential shelter on-site. The embassy advises U.S. citizens to be prepared to find shelter immediately in the event of an air raid alert.

They also encourage their citizens to stay updated with news from Ukrainian media, find shelter in advance, and follow the instructions of Ukrainian authorities in case of an emergency.

Updated at 10:54. The Spanish embassy in Ukraine has also sent an email to Spanish citizens, recommending that they "take emergency security measures, follow all advice from local authorities, and always have a shelter," reports the EFE agency.

There will also be no services provided during the day due to the increased risk of air attacks across Ukraine.

Updated at 8:55. The head of the Center for Counteracting Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council, Andrey Kovalенко, noted amid reports from the U.S. embassy that Russians had been accumulating missiles for a series of strikes on Ukraine "for months"—referring to X-101 missiles, "Calibers," and ballistic missiles.

"For the strikes, Russia has aviation and missile stocks at strategic aviation airfields, as well as storage facilities. Ships are also involved," Kovalенко says and advises to always "keep this in mind" and respond to air raid alerts.
