Not just the war with Russia: a historian identifies the greatest current threat to Ukrainians.

After the war with Russia, Ukraine may face a new threat. This concerns the division of society and the possibility of a civil war.

This was stated by historian, publicist, and professor at the Ukrainian Catholic University Yaroslav Hrytsak in an interview with "Telegraph": There will be a ceasefire, but it carries a new risk: Yaroslav Hrytsak on Trump's victory, Putin's mistakes, and Zaluzhny's future

According to him, over more than 30 years of independence, Ukraine has managed to overcome its crises. And although its modern history has not seen problems of this magnitude, our country has always found a way out.

However, the change of power in the USA could lead to Kyiv being forced into a ceasefire that may not be welcomed by everyone.

"And here lies the second threat: could the group that opposes the ceasefire create an element of civil war? This is the greatest threat that, in my opinion, is possible in Ukraine. When society splits over whether to continue or not continue the war," Hrytsak said.

The historian emphasized that after revolutions and wars, the likelihood of civil war can be high, and this is a topic that needs to be discussed.

Recall that earlier Hrytsak explained why he believes that a full resolution of the war under the current circumstances is impossible.
