Yatsenyuk urged Ukraine to sign a memorandum of understanding with the USA

According to the politician, given the current situation, there is no time to hesitate; action is needed, specifically through signing a memorandum of understanding. At the same time, he noted that an agreement on minerals cannot be signed at this moment.

"If we want to sign a document just for the sake of having a document — that's one story. However, if our goal is real economic cooperation, then we should sign an agreement that carries weight and is linked to security guarantees. But this takes time. If we don’t do this now, Putin will outmaneuver us," Yatsenyuk emphasized.

The politician called on the Ukrainian authorities to take proactive steps on the international stage to ensure both economic and security support for the country.

Recall that the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump presented Ukraine with an updated draft of the mineral agreement.

Earlier, we reported that White House National Security Council spokesman Brian Hughes criticized Zelensky for not signing the agreement on minerals. The Ukrainian leader was labeled as "short-sighted."
