Moscow will face a challenging question. What topics will be discussed in the upcoming negotiations between the US and Russia?

The upcoming topic of negotiations between the USA and Russia will be what the Kremlin is willing to do to end the war in Ukraine. President Donald Trump is seriously determined to put an end to this war.

This was stated by Secretary of State Marco Rubio in an interview with Breitbart News. He also commented on the American resolution at the UN, which does not label the Russian Federation as an aggressor.

According to him, the USA intends to bring Russia and Ukraine to the negotiation table and find out the answer to the question: "Are you interested in ending this conflict or not?" So far, most people cannot even imagine what responses will be given.

"If you talk to someone in Europe, they will tell you that Putin is not interested in ending the war. They said they would, under certain conditions. We have not discussed what those conditions are. Therefore, the next step is to meet with them again at some point, with the right group of people in the room, to start determining what is needed for Russia to stop the war," Rubio says.

The Secretary of State notes that this same question will be posed to Ukraine, as both sides are involved in the war. Trump understands that this process may take time and does not want that, which is why he is personally initiating the path to peace. According to Rubio, Trump’s strategy may work, but both Russia and Ukraine must want to end the war.

He emphasized that the notable US resolution at the UN is one of the steps toward peace. This document does not label the Russian Federation as an aggressor and effectively smooths things over to prevent Russia from vetoing it. Thus, the States are trying to mend relations with Moscow. Furthermore, the UN should remember that one of its missions is ensuring peace, not taking sides with one of the countries.

"President Trump wants to end this war. He believes that many people have died, and he wants to put a stop to it. Frankly, we did not find it favorable to have anything at the UN that is antagonistic to either side. We are trying to bring these guys to the table. Unfortunately, Ukraine did not agree, and it wants to move forward on its own. Then we turned to the Security Council with our compromise, which, in my opinion, is a very fair formulation and essentially says that 'war is a terrible thing,'" Rubio explained.

Earlier, "Telegraph" reported that Trump responded to whether he considers Russian President Vladimir Putin a dictator.
