This was reported by the Ministry of Defense.
Now, this will take place in the Unified State Register of War Veterans (EGRVV). Additionally, the status of combatant will be granted within a maximum of five days from the commencement of the combat order.
Such changes are stipulated in the order of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine dated January 17, No. 28, "On the Procedure for Providing Information to the Unified State Register of War Veterans." Its aim is to regulate the implementation of legislative requirements in this area.
To achieve this, special authorized persons will be appointed in military units, institutions, and organizations carrying out combat missions in areas of military operations.
They are required to enter data into the EGRVV about military personnel directly involved in repelling the armed aggression of the Russian Federation within five days from the date of the combat order.
It is worth noting that last summer, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a resolution that will allow Ukrainian military personnel to register as combat participants on the "Diia" portal.
