Kosiniak-Kamysz discussed this during the broadcast of the TV program "Point over i", quotes TVN24.
According to him, he informed NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg about "how much Poland has already done and how much it has helped Ukraine."
The Polish minister mentions that in Zelensky's words, "there was a note that Poland is not doing everything it can." However, he argues that Ukrainians have "short memories," as Poland provided military equipment and humanitarian aid in the early months of the full-scale Russian invasion.
Moreover, Kosiniak-Kamysz states that his country continues to do "everything possible" for Ukraine. At the same time, there is a "line" that he "will never cross": "If the transfer of any equipment threatens the security of the Polish state, I simply will not transfer that equipment."
This likely hints at the transfer of MiG-29 aircraft that Ukraine is requesting from Poland, which claims it needs them for its own defense.
In the opinion of the Polish Minister of Defense, Zelensky wants to "involve other countries in direct participation in the conflict" with Russia. He believes this is "somewhat natural," but Poland "has its own reasons for existence."
"Yesterday, I spoke with the NATO Secretary General about shooting down missiles. I believe that [it would be possible] if there were a collective decision from the entire Alliance, but such a decision does not exist today," said Kosiniak-Kamysz.
It is worth noting that earlier, Vice Prime Minister Krzysztof Gawkowski claimed that the Ukrainian president allegedly wants to drag Poland into the war against Russia. In his view, this would result from Poland intercepting Russian missiles and drones over Ukraine.
The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry responded to Gawkowski, calling his statements "unfounded," as intercepting Russian missiles and drones flying towards Poland over Ukraine "aligns with the security interests of Poland and its citizens."
