Details are reported by BBC Ukraine.
According to official reports, four hostages were exchanged for two hundred Palestinian prisoners. Today, January 25, the Red Cross transferred four female soldiers — Karina Arieva, 20 years old, Daniela Gilboa, 20 years old, Naam Levi, 20 years old, and Liri Albag, 19 years old.
They were captured by Hamas militants at the Nahal Oz military base on the border with the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023. The women served in an intelligence unit. They spent 477 days in captivity.
According to the ceasefire agreement, civilians will be released first, followed by female soldiers, and then men over 50 years old and those in need of medical assistance.
Hamas is expected to announce information about the remaining 26 hostages, who are to be released over the next five weeks.
As a reminder, on January 16, an agreement was officially signed in Doha for a ceasefire and the release of 33 Gaza hostages. The second phase of the agreement includes the release of other hostages, a permanent ceasefire, and the complete withdrawal of Israeli troops from Gaza.
We also reported that after the inauguration, newly elected U.S. President Donald Trump may visit the Gaza Strip.
