This was reported by CNN and Elon Musk on social media platform X on Sunday, February 23.
Emails with the subject line "What did you do last week?" have started arriving in the inboxes of officials.
The Human Resources office is requesting that by the end of Monday, a list of five accomplishments from the past week be submitted and a copy of the report be sent to the supervisor. Additionally, information marked "confidential" should not be disclosed.
Elon Musk stated that these emails are being sent at the direction of U.S. leader Donald Trump.
"All federal employees must explain what they accomplished last week. Failure to respond will be considered a resignation," he reported.
Recall that Trump urged Musk to take "more aggressive" actions, particularly regarding the reduction of government spending in the U.S.
Musk also made another controversial statement regarding Ukraine, accusing the country of not wanting to end the war.
