On the night of February 26, explosions were heard over the Krasnodar region and other parts of Russia. The Russian Ministry of Defense reported the destruction of 128 drones during the night.
The ministry stated that the highest number of drones (83) were shot down over the Krasnodar region. Videos from local residents have circulated on social media.
According to the Telegram channel Astra, the drones attacked the seaport in the city of Tuapse. Three houses in the city were also damaged, but there were no casualties.
There were also reports of explosions in the sky over Anapa, where Russian air defense was likely active. The Sochi airport implemented plan "Carpet" — it ceased accepting and dispatching flights.
Additionally, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that another 30 UAVs were shot down over the occupied territory of Crimea, 8 over the waters of the Sea of Azov, 5 over the Black Sea, and 1 over the Bryansk and Kursk regions.
