Bloomberg: Turkey is prepared to send its peacekeepers to Ukraine and has already informed Zelensky about this decision.

Turkey, which possesses the second largest army in NATO, is open to deploying its own peacekeeping forces in Ukraine following the conclusion of the Russian-Ukrainian war.

This is reported by Bloomberg, citing its own sources.

It is noted that Turkey's leader, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, has already discussed this issue with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

At the same time, Bloomberg continues, Turkey stated that it would not participate in any peacekeeping mission unless it is included in all consultations and preparations for its formation.

As agency sources indicate, the Russian Foreign Ministry has not yet responded to Turkey's initiative, although Putin's spokesperson Dmitry Peskov has stated that Moscow is against the deployment of peacekeepers in Ukraine.

Peacekeepers for Ukraine

As reported by the Financial Times on February 18, during an emergency summit of leaders in Paris, Macron proposed to deploy European peacekeeping forces behind the future line of demarcation, rather than directly on it.

Italy, the United Kingdom, Latvia, and Germany have previously expressed readiness to send peacekeeping units to Ukraine. Poland immediately announced that it does not plan to involve its troops.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized that the presence of European partner troops in Ukraine could become one of the most effective means of exerting pressure on Russia to achieve peace. At the same time, he noted that the peacekeeping mission should not replace Ukraine's membership in NATO.

On February 20, it became known that UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer plans to present a peacekeeping plan to US President Donald Trump, which provides for the deployment of 30,000 European soldiers in Ukraine to ensure a ceasefire.
